Excellence in Eye Care

Optical Boutique

For those patients needing glasses or contact lenses, Orange Coast Eye Center offers a complete optical department. Since your prescription can be filled at the same place it was written, you will not only save time and travel, you will also have the security of knowing the doctor who wrote the prescription is available to answer questions. Our office is staffed with experienced opticians who specialize in high fashion eyewear and carry an assortment of designer frames.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses correct your vision and are easy to wear. Choosing the contact lenses that are right for you depends on your vision and comfort. There are many types of contacts to suit almost anyone. Types of contact lenses include:

Soft Contact Lenses:

These are most frequently prescribed due to their tremendous comfort. Soft contacts are now available for patients with astigmatism or dry eyes and can even change the color of your eyes. Soft contact lenses include:

  • Daily Wear: can be worn up to 12 hours but must be removed and cleaned at night
  • Extended Wear: can be worn on a more flexible schedule than daily wear
  • Disposable: meant to be worn for a short time and then discarded
  • Color-Changing: can change the color of your eyes even if vision correction is not needed

Hard Contact Lenses:

Also called rigid or gas-permeable lenses, these offer sharper vision and can correct nearsightedness or astigmatism. However, hard contact lenses take longer to adjust to than soft contact lenses.

Eye Glasses

Eyeglass lenses look simple, but can be quite complex. You can trust our opticians for the best guidance on the latest and best technology in thin lightweight lenses, multifocal designs and lens coatings.

Sunglasses

We carry quality frames with warranty. You can customize your sunglasses with a variety of our colored lenses according to your personal style and taste. Take your choice of sunglass style with or without prescription to fit you perfectly. All contact lenses wearers should wear sunglasses. Contacts cause light to focus more brightly on your retina and may cause discomfort in many people.
