Dr. Bronstein is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in treating diseases of the retina and vitreous. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree CUM LAUDE with Honors in Life Sciences from Colgate University. He obtained his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. After a medical internship at Long Island Jewish hospital, he completed his ophthalmology residency at UMDNJ (Rutgers New Jersey Medical School). Dr. Bronstein finished a two-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases at the Massachusetts Eye and Eye Infirmary, Harvard Medical School Retina Service and Retina Associates with Charles Schepens, MD. He is the author of peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Bronstein holds a Master in Medical Management degree from USC Marshall School of Business. Dr. Bronstein has been an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UCI College of Medicine and a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve Medical Corps. He was on the Board of Directors of Vision Service Plan for 10 years, along with serving as chair of many committees and as Treasurer. His passion is treating patients with potentially blinding diseases like diabetes, retinal detachment and macular degeneration.
